LED adapters included in aligner kits starting in October

Starting October 6, every aligner kit with remote monitoring will ship with:

ScanBox Pro
LED adapter
Instruction card showing patients how to attach and use the adapter

Practices will no longer need to order LED adapters separately for new patients.

Why are LED adapters being included in aligner kits?

Many newer iPhone and Google Pixel models need an LED adapter to complete at-home scans with the ScanBox Pro due to the placement of their flash in relation to the camera lens.

Phone models that require an LED adapter:

iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max
iPhone 17 Air, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max

The ProMonitoring app will automatically notify patients when an LED adapter is required for their phone model.

FAQs

How do existing patients get an LED adapter when they upgrade their phone?

LED adapters can still be ordered separately at no cost. Patients will receive a message in the ProMonitoring app to order after they upgrade their phone. Practice team members can order through the Support chat in the CandidPro portal.

Do CandidPro Elements cases come with an LED adapter?

If ProMonitoring is purchased as an add-on for a CandidPro Elements case, it will include an LED adapter.

Does the iPhone 17 need an LED adapter?

The base iPhone 17 does not require an LED adapter. However, the 17 Air, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max require the adapter.
